Steve Taylor

Steve Taylor commenced his involvement with Self Storage in the late 1980s as the Development and Construction Manager for Easi Stor which later became known as Kennards Self Storage. He has since been involved in the design, delivery and management of close to $1 billion contract value of Self Storage projects.

Steve founded Total Construction (TOTAL) in 1994, with the company emerging as the construction partner of choice for Kennards Self Storage. As Kennards grew, so did TOTAL. Steve continued to collaborate with Sam Kennard to strategically select sites, prepare feasibility studies and deliver innovative designs.

TOTAL has continued to expand nationally and become the delivery partner for many other great companies like Storage King, Abacus, National Storage, USSFM (Jonathon Perrins),  StoreLocal and various independents.

Throughout Steve’s 35 years of building experience, the Self Storage industry has prospered in the face of much disruption and change. Under Steve’s strategic leadership TOTAL will continue to be versatile, adaptive, and deliver on their core purpose of making ‘a positive difference to people’s lives through excellence in construction’.
