Chris Farquhar

Managing Partner of Cimigo and Cido Research

Chris Farquhar is the founder and Managing Partner of Cimigo, an independent market research consultancy with offices throughout the region. He is also the founder and Managing Director of Cido research, a specialized data collection agency that provides consumer and customer market intelligence to insights agencies globally.

Chris is one of the most experienced regional Researchers in Asia, with over 30 years of experience in the market research industry, including working with financial services organisations, major tourism, entertainment, and F&B brands, as well as member-based organizations.


His career began in the operational areas of market research in Australia, followed by a move into dedicated research consultancy, conducting qualitative and quantitative research for a broad range of clients nationally. His experience in marketing research across Asia over the last three decades has included the full range of research methodologies and analytical tools, from the exploratory motivational to long term brand and stakeholder management tracking.


Chris is the founding Chairman of the Marketing Research Society of Hong Kong and the Hong Kong Representative of ESOMAR, the global professional insights association.
