Robert Chiti

Robert A. Chiti is a recognized leader and innovator in the self storage industry, known for advancing technology solutions that strengthen operational performance, security and tenant experiences. As Founder and CEO of OpenTech Alliance, Robert has helped shape the industry’s approach to automation, integrated facility systems and technology-enabled storage operations for more than two decades.

A long-time supporter of industry collaboration, Robert has served on several boards, including the Self Storage Association (SSA), the SSA Foundation Board of Governors, and the California Self Storage Association (CSSA). He also served as Chairman of Charity Storage. He also actively stewards charitable initiatives, serving on the boards of both the Self Storage Association Foundation and Charity Storage, and promotes active participation across his team as well.
