Tim Alpe

Tim is Managing Director & Head of Extra Space Asia, a leading owner-operator of more than 100 self-storage facilities and 31,000+ units across seven gateway cities in the AsiaPacific region - Hong Kong, Kuala Lumpur, Osaka, Seoul, Singapore, Taipei and Tokyo. With over 20 years of experience in hospitality and industrial real estate, he leads the company’s expansion as a fully integrated APAC self-storage management business, championing innovation and modernising traditional operating models.

Prior to Extra Space, Tim served as COO of the Ovolo Group, CEO of RedBox Storage (a Brookfield portfolio company), and Managing Director of TriO Capital, a Hong Kong based integrated investment and asset management firm focused on hospitality. His extensive real estate experience and leadership were recognised through a board appointment at the Self Storage Association Asia, underscoring his industry standing and strategic insight.

Tim’s career spans markets including New Zealand, China, the UK, Macau, Hong Kong and Singapore, bringing with him deep operational and commercial expertise in investment and asset management, feasibility and ideation, business development, and performance optimisation.
